What Is Mindfulness?
Many people have misconceptions about the usefulness of mindfulness in managing student emotions and behaviors. Mindfulness is being intentionally present in the current moment. This is a skill any student can use in many different areas of school and life.
Mindful behaviors allow students to learn to regulate emotions, manage stress levels, and increase gratefulness. They also allow people to learn how to breathe to release stress and to learn to relax no matter what environment surrounds them.
